I was thinking that it would mostly require redefinition as a late TL8 world, with some early TL9 tech, especially for cyberware and computer electronics. Not sure what else would need updating, though.
I have a thing that I say about current events: I think I’d buy a 4e version of that. I don’t have it in front of me, but I’ve got to wonder if a 4e update of this would even merit a Pyramid article.
I recall gurp little crunch in that book. It’s not really in Cyberworld, but rather in Cyberpunk, however, the netrunning rules definitely need an update.

They need to be more cinematic and run faster. In general, they actually need to be gameable.
I have to agree on Australia, and add that a “Bamboo Curtain” China was also pretty much admitting “we don’t have any good ideas for this country”. Still, even there, one can find potential: Heck, for an Infinite Worlds tie-in, the Australia plague could be the Gotha Virus, and the country’s ruins are now populated by savage Gotha zombies.
I also ctberworld to agree that the setting could use more Cybertech.

In fact, I’d swipe some elements from Transhuman Space, and make Transhumanism part of the global subculture; the reasoning being “We might as well admit humanity’s completly messed up: I also own Cthulhupunk, and have to agree it’s a good campaign concept, that also neatly meshes with Transhumanism, as it brings up the question of just how far one can become transhuman without completly losing one’s humanity In another thread someone was offering to write large articles on anything you wanted, I proposed this as something he could consider, and he had it on his list, but I’m not sure if he’s still going to do it.
